Monday, March 17, 2014 Happy St. Patty's Day

Happy St. Pat's Day!

What should we do today?  Rita and I talked bright and early to see how we each fared last night.  It was good out on the moorings as well as at our dock….a bit windy but not bad. David has 3 chores he wants to do and then they’re free: 1) dump their garbage bags  2) fill their water cans  3) and take a shower.  What a life!  He’s going to hate it when he gets back home and back to work!  So Rita wanted to know if we were up to lunch.  Of course, but not Viet food!  That’s what Keith was hungry for.  As it turned out, he decided not to leave his boat today.  So Rita got the scoop on a Chinese Buffet out near the Walmart.  The marina shuttle van leaves the marina at 9 am, 11 am, 2 pm, and 4 pm and it's free!   The van will even take up to 12 people to NASA for $30. The more people the cheaper it is per person.  We signed up to take the 11 am shuttle to Walmart and then it’s a short walk across the road to the buffet. It was fun to walk through Walmart and as for the restaurant….wow!  They had a great spread.  I pigged out on the sushi! (Chrissie, I wish you were sharing it with me.)  After eating 6 pieces, I figured I got my money’s worth…of course I went back for seconds and then had to contain myself!! If anyone leaves this restaurant hungry, well then it’s their own fault.  Chuck loved the ice cream machine.  LOL!

Charles, the shuttle driver, isn’t leaving the marina to pick anyone up until 2 pm.  That gives us time to eat and then check out the Dollar Tree and Marshalls.  Oh, and David even booked a haircut while we were waiting for our pick up.  In the meantime, Mike and Chris called because they are back at their boat.  As soon as we got back on board, I called our friends and they drove over.  We had a great time catching up and then the guys went to pick up a Papa John's pizza.  We ate down in our main salon where it was warmer and boy did this pizza hit the spot!  It was really good.    As it got late, Mike and Chris left us with plans for tomorrow!
